SINGLES LEAGUE

INFORMATION

Game On is pleased to offer Guelph's very first singles sports league. This league is a great alternative to meeting other singles on-line, or on blind dates, or in the bar scene.

The league is 8 weeks long and will be held on Friday nights. Each night will consist of one volleyball match, consisting of a best of three format, which will last approximately one hour in length. Each week the teams will be scrambled so you will have an opportunity to play with multiple players through the course of the season.

After the game, we welcome you to join us at a local bar or pub as chosen by Game On, where you can continue to socialize with your teammates and opponents in a more informal setting. Each week there will be a new location chosen.

As the focus of the league is to provide a fun, non-competitive atmosphere, where the focus is on socializing, we will not be keeping track of statistics or scores. This league is simply meant for fun.

We will make every attempt possible to maintain an even ratio of male to female players but understand that this ratio will be ultimately determined by the registrants. With that in mind, Game On will maintain a ratio of no greater than a 60%-40% split of any one gender.

FORMS

For this particular league you can only register to play as an individual. Friends of yours are more than welcome to join as well but they, too, must register as an individual. We will not place friends on the same team every week.

To register, simply print and fill out the form in its entirety, and mail the registration form with payment to the address listed on the form. As the post-game socials are located within bars or pubs, participants must be 19 years of age to register.

Spaces are limited so applications, which are accompanied with payment, will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Before the start of play, every participant is required to sign and submit the Waiver and Release Form.

Game On asks that when you are driving to and from games that you please respect the neighbourhoods you are driving through, that you obey all posted speed limits, and that you be watchful of children.

Below you will find links to the maps of the locations where your sport will be played. Please make sure that you select the appropriate season and that you check your schedule for locations, as some sports may have multiple locations.

SCHEDULE

A copy of the schedule will be provided to each individual registrant approximately one week before the start of play. The final schedule will also be posted on-line once the league commences.
