Indoor Volleyball on Wednesday nights

INFORMATION

Volleyball is one of the most popular recreational sports in the world. It is played at a fast pace and it is exciting. While agility, endurance and good hand-eye coordination are helpful, the level of play is determined solely by the players themselves.

Game On is pleased to announce that we are expanding our availability of our volleyball leagues. Starting this fall 2011, Game On will be offering a Wednesday 6s Recreational league and a 4s Intermediate league, which are in addition to our current Sunday evening 6s Intermediate league. Now there is more opportunity to play!

Game On offers leagues for co-ed play.

Recreational leagues – for those who are either novice to the sport itself or are looking simply to have fun.

Intermediate league – catered more towards those players who have played the sport before, have some skill and understand the rules.

Competitive league – for those who have mastered the sport and are looking to compete at a high level.

For indoor volleyball, there will be one match each night lasting approximately 1 hour in length and consists of a best of three format. For outdoor volleyball, there will be two matches (two games per match) each night, with each match lasting approximately 40 minutes in length.

6 vs. 6 Volleyball: Six (6) players minimum to a recommended nine (9) players per team.

* Note that overall points by a team, not their record, determines their standing. Tie breakers are based first on head-to-head match-ups, then to overall point differential throughout the entire season, then to the team with the most wins.
